Statement of Intent

At Bolsover CE Junior School, we are committed to equality and believe that children are unique in their journey to flourishing as successful learners in modern Britain.

We recognise additional needs are represented in many different ways and we aim to support all children to flourish as an individual. We value the uniqueness of each individual so that every child understands their worth and value and is equipped to live life in all its fullness within and beyond Bolsover.

It is through our vision ‘With Faith Hope and Love, we grow together’ that we can achieve the greatest outcomes in life. We focus on the right of every child to receive an education that enables them to make progress, so that they achieve their best, become confident individuals leading fulfilling lives and make a successful transition into adulthood.

The Local Offer

Local authorities must publish a Local Offer, setting out in one place information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have SEN or are disabled, including those who do not have Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

The Local Offer tells you what support is available for children and young people with SEND. It must include information about education, health and care provision. It should also tell you about training, employment and independent living for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
