As you may have already seen on our Class Dojo calendar, we are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on Friday 7th February 2025.
The NSPCC needs our support more than ever. By raising money, we can help to fund their vital services such as ChildLine – the helpline that’s always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern. On average, a child contacts ChildLine every 25 seconds.
Making maths meaningful:
Number Day is also a great way to make maths fun and create a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards the subject.
• Maths lessons will be very different during the day, with lots of puzzles and problem-solving taking place.
• Pupils will be competing against schools from around the country in the online TTRockstars NSPCC Rocks competition.
• We will be taking part in Dress up for Digits, with pupils asked to get creative by dressing in a maths or numbers themed outfit, or wear an item of green clothing (preferably with a number on it).
Safe Fundraising-it all adds up:
To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for a cash donation of £1, which will be collected in school (during morning registration) on the day.
Over the years we have raised hundreds of pounds for the NSPCC and all the money we raise at Bolsover will make an enormous difference to the children supported by the NSPCC.
We’re really looking forward to all the fun of Number Day, and we really appreciate your support.
